Having had my baby
daughter Phœbe in July 2005 (after an emergency
caesarean) I was a little bit on the slow side getting
back to my pre pregnancy shape and weight, not to
mention back into my clothes! In October 2006
inspiration dropped on my doorstep in the form of one of
Andy’s leaflets. I gave him a call and from the initial
meeting was impressed with his enthusiasm, knowledge and
professionalism. Soon after he turned up for the first
training session and the Smiling Assassin was created
and allowed into our home!
The
sessions with Andy are entertaining (in-between gasps
for breath and pints of water), fantastically beneficial
and ever changing, he constantly introduces new
exercises so boredom will never set in (nor will
complacency!). Since that fateful day I have lost nearly
2 stone in weight, and numerous inches, through a
combination of twice weekly personal training, attending
his Thursday evening class, nutritional advice and I am
slimmer, fitter and more toned than ever before.
Although I am now 5 months pregnant I am continuing to
train regularly, with Andy modifying my workouts
accordingly. My aim is to keep going until baby arrives
(not sure midwifery is one of Andy’s qualifications!),
however this time with Andy’s help I expect to be bikini
fit by the Summer!
So to
sum up – he arrives, he smiles, he kills! Andy has
become more than a personal trainer to our family he has
become a friend, Phœbe loves him and we would recommend
him without hesitation.

After
a fairly unsuccessful solo marathon attempt, I found
Andy almost by mistake via the Internet. I was a bit
sceptical about personal trainers as I didn't want
someone to just tell me how great I was doing or just
lean on the running machine while I was sweating, I
wanted a proper training partner who had experience of
what he was teaching. I was lucky that Andy is a
motivator, hard task master and physio all rolled into
one !! At first I was surprised at the level of
enjoyment I was experiencing during our sessions, and
after a few weeks I was equally surprised at how much
progress I was making. Even when I had the odd ache or
pain, Andy seemed to have expected it, and could work
round it whilst maintaining my fitness. Andy’s ability
to vary our training to keep it interesting was a big
factor in maintaining my motivation, and at no point did
I feel bored with the exercises or the tests he set, I
found that I wanted to try harder just to prove how far
I had come. As regards results, beating my previous
marathon time by nearly an hour speaks for itself ! Now
I am starting training for a new challenge and will be
using Andy to help me train again, I have no doubt we
will be successful.

Fat, unfit and nearly fifty plus hating exercise! Not
the ideal working material for a personal trainer but
with Andy's fun approach and carefully structured
programme of exercises we have lost weight, now have
muscles like athletes (although we don't quite believe
the scales when they say this) and are managing to
maintain a healthy BMI.
We
exercise with Andy on Wednesdays and just the two of us
on Saturday and Sunday morning. It takes about an hour
to complete and is relaxing, stress busting and
enjoyable. We had so many positive comments - looking
younger, looking good - and more importantly we feel
better and have normal blood pressure levels now.
Therefore, we would recommend Andy to anyone even if you
hate exercise, have poor motivation, little time or
health problems. He makes you feel comfortable,
confident and tells the funniest chicken stories we have
ever heard!

"Andy is currently training me to run the New York
marathon. I thought I'd be able to train myself but
since using his experience in the field I've realised
that, firstly I'd never have made it and secondly
instead of just hoping to finish the course, I'm now on
target to make it round in under 4 hours.
